The weather threw us a giant curveball. The Argentina duck hunt area received around 6″ of rain in two days and put water everywhere on the landscape. In fact, we missed our first morning hunt due to heavy rain and lightning. The new water really spread the birds out, and combined with the full moon, made hunting more difficult than usual (according to guide staff). Thankfully, “slow duck hunting” in Argentina at Las Flores is still amazing duck hunting! We had great hunts, both morning and afternoon, every day we were there. We actually enjoyed the fact that the hunt wasn’t over in under an hour, which was noted as being “normal.” Mike and I were able to harvest 8 or 9 different Argentina duck species, beautiful birds all around!

The guides and lodge staff were excellent, we never wanted for anything. The food was also great!

We really enjoyed meeting the other hunters in camp, and we have already made plans to make a trip to Louisiana to hang out with a few of the guys.

The Argentina duck hunt at Las Flores was very enjoyable. Everything including accommodations, transfers, meals, and hunting was as described. The quality of the duck hunts exceeded my expectations and the variety of duck species was excellent. Hopefully, I will be back to Argentina again in the near future. Absolutely one of the best Argentina waterfowl hunts ever.  Las Flores is fantastic. Love the outfitter’s enthusiasm. Best Argentina duck hunting outfitter ever! We didn’t shoot many rosybills but there were many excellent substitutes! Yes, we were there to kill ducks, but there were some other pretty fine things, too. Great and plentiful food. Five daily meals. Meal 4 is the 5:00 meal that precedes 7:45 dinner. I’m not sure what the noon meal is called. Breakfast is of course early and brunch is right after the hunt!

Our Argentina duck hunt was great. Los Ceibos was a great destination, the guides and lodge were first class and the hunting (for ducks, doves and perdiz) was better than expected.  Thanks Ramsey!

Argentina duck hunt was great!  I can’t imagine there is anywhere else in Argentina as consistent or reliable. Food was great.  Wish I could get some of those cuts of meat back home! Cool area very quiet and peaceful, shallow pothole wetlands all over reminiscent of parts of North American duck factory.

Big shout out to Ramsey Russell with GetDucks! Just got back from South Africa waterfowl collectors hunt and had a spectacular time. Staff are awesome. Every spot-and-stalk was dead on. Was like 15 mini safaris. Only a duck collector will get what mean by that. Was able to collect the 15 waterfowl species I was chasing in 3 1/2 days. Everything ran like a well-oiled machine. The accommodations, food, culture and of course the duck hunting were awesome! Thanks again to Ramsey and his wife Anita for putting this wonderful trip together for me!!

Gratitude. That’s the word that comes to mind while thinking back on my South Africa wingshooting experience with GetDucks. It taught me the importance of hunting and the critical role that hunting plays in conserving South Africa wildlife. Made me appreciate the harvest of game even more when I learned that nothing goes unused, and how our duck hunting experience impacts communities. The lodging, the food, the guides/PHs, the people and the culture were exceptional. Ramsey has done an amazing job of inserting variety into this South Africa bird hunting trip and no 2 days are the same. I’m a better, more educated hunter as I return home. Truly life changing. I can’t wait to come back again!

Making a hunting trip to the Dark Continent has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. The opportunity to share my first African experience with Ramsey made the trip that much more memorable. I was blessed to be able to chase almost all the bird species available across 3 provinces and 4 camps plus spend a week in Limpopo hunting South Africa plains game. All the outfitters and PHs that we spent so much time with were professional and enjoyable. The South Africa Duck Hunt is a trip of a lifetime, and it ignited my desire to make it the first of numerous trips of a lifetime to Africa.
