We had a wonderful time goose hunting in Saskatchewan Canada.  Goose hunting was a little off compared to what I’d been told by returning hunters in our group, but the mild weather was great and the guides did a real good job.  All in all, the whole trip, meals, friendship, lodging and hunting was well worth the price!

Morning hunts were super. Giant honkers and one morning we got our duck limits in 40 minutes. Beautiful setting near Canadian Rockies made great settings for Alberta duck and goose hunting.  Fly fishing before evening duck hunts produced brown trout.  Staff are great.  Lodge and meals are the best we’ve ever had, food will challenge the best white table cloth restaurant.

Gould’s turkey hunt is a dream come true, one of the best get-a-ways that anyone can imagine.  My wife’s memory has been slipping over the last few years, thus needing quite a bit of personal help.  So our trip to hunt Gould’s turkey in Mexico had me very concerned, first that she wouldn’t enjoy our time there and second, that she wouldn’t be safe.

My concerns were immediately laid to rest. Alonzo and his staff treated my wife like visiting royalty.  We felt safer than at home!  Our hunting guide, Jose, was so thoughtful and helpful that my wife kept commenting that she felt like a queen. Always sporting a sincere smile, he went the extra mile to ensure her comfort, both in the blind and during transport.  Having hunted much of the world with many outfitters, I can say without equivocation that Alonzo’s operation takes second seat to no one, all the while staying very reasonably priced if not below one’s expectations.

Accommodations were ideal, with spacious rooms, individual baths and daily room service.  The food was incredible, with every drink you could imagine teamed with a variety of meals that spoke of the local culture and flavor.   If you didn’t have a drink or snack in hand it wouldn’t be a minute before Orlando, Alonzo’s chief ranch hand, would be there, with a smile, for requests.

There were numerous activities at the ranch for the entertainment of every personality, from the very active to the more serene. The atmosphere was comfortable, relaxed and casual.  Having two birds in hand, my wife and I chose not to go out and hunt on our last afternoon.  Rather, we wanted to go for a walk together. Alonzo gave us suggestions, to avoid getting into someone’s hunting space, and we had a delightful afternoon soaking in the afternoon sun while strolling among the native plants and wildlife.

The Gould’s hunting was exceptional!  Birds were plentiful with superb quality!  My guide was an excellent judge of trophy quality, guessing spur and beard lengths to within a fraction of an inch.  In addition to turkey, we saw numerous other types of wildlife. Some were almost oblivious to our presence.  This ranch is managed with both visitors and wildlife in mind.  By not exhausting the resources, Alonzo reaps huge dividends toward the exceptional experiences that can be enjoyed.

In conclusion, we can whole-heartedly recommend this operation for exceptional hunting and/or restful vacationing!  I would be happy to discuss our experience with anyone considering this destination.

Great duck hunting, wonderful food, great people.  We have been on many South American hunts and the La Paz Argentina duck hunting combo was a great one.  Four hundred ninety-seven ducks, plus pigeons, perdiz, fish and more.

Peru duck hunting was exceptional, people were great, they treated you like family! Interesting to experience a different culture and cuisine.  Scenery was beautiful.  I was finished with my Peru duck hunt a day early with all species in hand.  This is not a volume hunt but a great species collector hunt.  Everything went exactly as Ramsey described, couldn’t have been better.  I would highly recommend this hunt to anyone who is interested in seeing different cultures and collecting different species of ducks. I will definitely hunt with GetDucks.com in the future!!

Our Argentina duck hunting trip could not have been any better. From the outstanding shooting opportunities to the incredible accommodations, this trip was simply the best. We were greeted at the lodge by the entire staff and were completely taken care of at all times. The food was outstanding at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The beds were huge and very comfortable. Every room had a fireplace and the fire was kept burning by lodge staff. This really was a fabulous hunting experience.

My best memories of the trip are shooting boatloads of ducks with my best hunting partner, my Dad. My favorite hunt was the last day when we were in a picture perfect marsh and both dad and I were shooting well. We shot many species of Argentina ducks.

I don’t think GetDucks.com’s service could be improved. We had a missed flight issue and they completely took care of this. We did not miss one minute of hunting due to this airline delay. Ramsey is a real person who has been there. He knows what hunters expect and anticipates their needs. When I looked for an Argentina duck hunt I found many outfitters trying to do too much and not really know specifics about the hunt I wanted to go on.  Ramsey knew the hunt and could confidently answer questions that I had. I felt like I could trust him and his opinions. When you make reservations over the phone and by looking at a website, trust is the most important thing. GetDucks.com is trustworthy. Everything was taken care of. The lodge, hunt, and transfers were as described.

It is a difficult thing to know what to pack when you are going that far away. We ended up using the waders they had available at the lodge. These were fine and saved us a lot of weight in our luggage. Also, the waders we own would have been way too hot for the temps there. I thought the packing list was a bit sparse, but after going I found you really don’t need too much.

I would love to go again.
