Eastern Alberta Canada Goose Hunting

Eastern Alberta Canada Goose Hunts

This Alberta Canada goose hunt is peerless

Located in eastern Alberta, this outfitter delivers big duck hunting results.  Every time. Numerous pea fields, an abundance of lakes, and slower moving rivers, provide the perfect ingredients to do so.  For consistently successful goose hunts in beautiful surroundings, look no further.

Encompassing nearly 250,000 square acres of prime aspen parklands with gradual rolling hills with an abundance of sloughs and potholes, of pea and cereal grain fields, makes for ideal waterfowl hunting.  The outfitter utilizes a decade of duck hunting harvest and scouting data, top-notch equipment, excellent scouts and guides to put you on a new hot field daily and produce the Canada goose hunt you've long awaited.  Whether duck hunting from warm, comfortable blinds in dry-fields, where ducks also readily decoy, or hunting from cattail hides along sloughs for primarily mallards and pintail, expect great Canada goose hunts.

Airport transfers, home-cooked meals, and private lodging are included.  Premium, full turn-key services are also available for duck hunters that would rather sleep in those few extra minutes and arrive to a decoy set that has been deployed by your guide and staff that morning.  This executive package makes your hunt a true vacation.

Timing

Excellent Eastern Alberta Canada goose hunting typically from mid-September through October.

Rates

$2100 plus 5% GST 3-day Eastern Alberta Canada Goose Hunt, which includes maximum of 5 professionally-delivered hunts.

$3900 plus 5% GST 6-day Eastern Alberta Canada Goose Hunt, with maximum of 11 professionally-delivered hunts.

Non-hunters $200 per day.

Executive Package: This Eastern Alberta Canada Goose Hunt may be upgraded to include premium services of decoy placement and take-down by staff for only $450 additional per 3-day hunt. Sleep in a little while longer, enjoy a fresh cup of hot coffee and watch the sunrise instead of fussing with decoys and blinds. It's a real vacation.

Field Report

Eastern Alberta Canada Goose Hunt

In spite of warm weather - and I mean record warm highs - we killed geese similar to when I last hunted the Magellan Geese of Argentina.  Only difference was that we stopped at a limit, which came way too quickly.  The outfitter is well represented and knowledgeable in the area, has scouts out constantly, and is called frequently by farmers about depredating birds on their crops.  His equipment is first rate, food and lodging is top-notch.  I could wish for nothing else while revisiting this guided Canada goose hunt.

Pat Pitt, September 2009
